Almost Spring at the York House Inn

Spring has almost arrived in the North Georgia Mountains, and we are gearing up for another year of fine dining, wine adventures, farm visits, water fun and more antique shopping.

It is just the right time to plan your summer at York House Inn. Our last year was a banner year for us, lots of new faces and many of our historical repeat guests (the record anniversary stay this year was the 50th)!. With gas prices as low as $1.50 per gallon in the area, it will be a great summer for a road trip.

We were happy with the lively interest in booking a stay at the Inn, and encourage all to CALL US DIRECTLY and toll – free at that so that we can assist you personally. We appreciate our online travel partners but the best rooms at the best rate is always but a phone call away or as a second option directly on our website

Stan as always has been very busy in the colder months decorating, repainting rooms and adding to the services we offer. One of our charming rooms on the 2nd floor has been changed to a queen room and several others to king bedded rooms. Check out the pictures on our website or blog for more details. We are proud that our TripAdvisor reviews have allowed us to achieve not only the #1 rating in our area, but also the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for two years running. Thank you for all of the great reviews!

There are great new things happening in the area as well. We are pleased to welcome several new and exciting restaurants to the area. For 2016 look for the NEW Mama G’s ( we hope to see you back this summer after a devastating fire), a renovated Zepplin’s as well as the new Wicked Pig located in downtown Clayton. Several Chef’s are expanding “Farm to Table” offerings in Dillard and along the Highway 76 corridor.

We are looking forward to some excitement this year as the Inn will be celebrating it’s 120th anniversary. Look for some fun things as the offerings pop up on our website! We look forward to showcasing our special culture and foods. We have instituted an Honor Bar vs or Happier Hour, but we are sure you will all be happy with this option to “pay it forward” in the Roc Room. Just a sample include our “Food, Land and People” weekends, a special canning workshop as well as some new workshops.

Remember our festival season rates end August 31, 2016 and then we are off and running into leaf season! It was a spectacular fall this last year so don’t miss out!
